This painting is inspired by landscape, colour and paint itself. I love working on this 30x30cm size, both the scale and format suit working in an immediate and adventerous way.

I live in rural Kent, and the landscape which I walk every day is a deep source of ideas and thoughts. What I put on canvas are responses and memories - the experience of being in a landscape.

I have tried to inject as much colour, warmth and vibrancy as I can onto this canvas, which has many many layers of paint to give depth and texture to the painting.

This 30x30cm painting is framed. Framed size 34x34cm, it has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
