Sweetpeas

Abstract painting inspired by my summer roses. 30x30cm rondo.

I love making fully abstract paintings, In this painting, two large pots of sweetpeas in my garden are the starting point - summer colours and textures too.

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.

This 30x30cm rondo painting is unframed. It had white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
